I recently was given a Phantom Hull but no other parts. I know the rudder is different but can a Sunfish rudder be retrofitted? All other parts seem to be okay for retro, just wondering about the rudder. If anyone has a phantom rudder and casting just lying around, well, let me know.
I sold some spars this weekend that came with a boat that was bought in a package from a sailing club. Some of the spars were pretty old, and did not have any stickers on them. The question is...when were non laser spars available, and how can one know if they are legal if no stickers are visible?
The ILCA approved today the new Carbon Wing Sail for all Lasers beginning in 2012. The sail will retail for $650, and Intensity will not have a replica version right away, but after after some testing it should be available for $179 in 2013. The prototype looks very promising, the big test...
I have a line on a cheap Phantom, but dont know the difference between the 2. It will be the wifey's boat, so racing is not a must, just need to know if daggers are interchangeable.

Any advice will be appreciated(excpet to throw the hull...
Ive tried penetrating oil and big tools, still nothing will move the cap. Doe the cap have to come off to replace the whole thing? And any ideas on how to remove it?

I have the pieces, but cant find instructions or any info on the steps to put the mast step repair kit in. No search Ive done on this site has turned up the "kit" repair in any detail. Any help and pics will be greatly appreciated,
david
Do I go ahead and reinforce the mast step on a 73 hull before it breaks, or if the hull seems solid, do I chance it? Ive had one break before and do not want to pay for a repair kit.
