Laser Island Voyages Back In The Day

Pics from the Crystal Palace, Longhorn Restaurant, etc., I had lunch in the Longhorn and it was delicious, LOL:

IMG_0602.JPG IMG_0603.JPG IMG_0605.JPG IMG_0607.JPG IMG_0609.JPG IMG_0636.JPG IMG_0613.JPG IMG_0617.JPG IMG_0618.JPG IMG_0630.JPG

That stained glass number of the gunfight was in the Longhorn, pretty cool, aye? The Injuns were part of my lunch table... and that horse rack was right above my table, it deserved a pic, LOL. That last pic is just a postcard I picked up, gotta like the nooses... wait, are those PC nooses??? LOL.

A few final shots, then I'm off to the Post Office to mail that shirt to my friend... he'll get a laugh out of it, aye?

IMG_0631.JPG IMG_0632.JPG IMG_0629.JPG IMG_0416.JPG IMG_0418.JPG IMG_0419.JPG IMG_0420.JPG IMG_0427.JPG
IMG_0535.JPG IMG_0663.JPG

Those booze bottles are actually on my bar, a rather humble establishment compared to the Tombstone numbers, LOL. That climbing poster was in Tombstone, must have missed it earlier... while the pickup with the dog riding shotgun was outside the Benson Public Library when I arrived, not my choice of colors but the truck is still stylin', LOL.

I'M OFF TO THE POST OFFICE... AND TO THE STORE TO RESUPPLY WITH BEER. CHEERS!!!

P.S. Those who've been cool to me here at this site, such as Wavedancer, Norcalsail, the hand who sailed the Mississippi Sound, and others, you will always be welcome to visit me here in Benson, Tombstone is just down the road and the Stronghold isn't far either, AYE??? Mi casa es su casa, LOL. HASTA LUEGO!!! :D

Edit: Oh, yeah, I'm actually a Stoli man, but I've yet to find it in this burg, so I'm choking down that Swedish cr@p for the time being, LOL.

A quick update on the interior home rehab work: it's almost done, "CALL CNN!!!"

Got a few short hours of painting left today, and that should do it... boy, it has been a long haul with this train wreck of a fixer home, but all she needed was a little love after being neglected for so long. Goldurned tweekers!!! Meh, their legacy will soon be nothing but a bad memory, and good riddance. Here are a few pics of the soon-to-be-completed bathrooms:

IMG_0674.JPG IMG_0675.JPG IMG_0676.JPG IMG_0677.JPG IMG_0673.JPG IMG_0679.JPG

Well, those last two pics are NOT of the bathrooms, I just liked the flowers and the rodeo mural, LOL. Yesiree, just a little more painting to be done and I can stow the brushes and rollers in the shed for awhile... feel like I've been painting for the past century, LOL. But think of the money I saved by painting the entire interior by myself... even so, I threw down $1000 for paint and other materials, this old home sure sucked up the caulking material & paint & whatnot. I'm just about through my 25th tube of caulking, 25 FREAKIN' TUBES!!! And I don't waste the stuff either, I lay the bead directly on the crack or seam to be closed, ya know? Good news is that my heating & cooling bills will be much lower, now that the home is sealed up the way it should be... plus I won't have ants or scorpions crawling through the cracks and sharing my bed with me, that's never much fun, LOL.

ALRIGHT, NAUTICAL HEROES, I'M OFF TO FINISH THE JOB, PROBABLY WIND UP GETTING DRUNK TO CELEBRATE THE END OF THE INTERIOR HOME REHAB WORK...

NEXT UP, MULTIPLE TASKS FOR THE HOME EXTERIOR, LOL. MEH, SOMEBODY HAS TO DO IT, AND NO WAY I PAY SOMEONE ELSE TO DO SOMETHING I CAN DO MYSELF... I'M A CHEAP BASTARD, DON'TCHA KNOW???

"HUH??? WHA' HAPPEN??? OH, IT'S YOU... GET A BEER OUTTA THE FRIDGE FOR ME, THEN SHADDAP AND GET BACK TO WORK!!!"

Tiger catnapping on the couch, little guy is growing fast with all the good food I'm giving him, so he kinda looks like a string bean, LOL... if he learns how to survive the coyotes, he'll fill out and become a fine kitteh, but I still miss ol' Sage. I reckon Sage has crossed the divide and is now in cat heaven...

Had a great time this weekend, partying with a friend and putting the finishing touches on my home decor... got some cool nautical artwork y'all will appreciate, so bear with me, LOL. We'll mix it up a little with some shots of the kittehs, plus a few of the cool tailgate on this old Ford:

IMG_0743.JPG IMG_0744.JPG IMG_0745.JPG IMG_0746.JPG IMG_0747.JPG IMG_0749.JPG IMG_0753.JPG IMG_0757.JPG IMG_0758.JPG IMG_0759.JPG

That's what I like about living in Arizona, the people are clued in to the whole corrupt gubmint scene... plus they're all armed, probably why crime is so low in my neighborhood, LOL. Those circus posters are from the circus I attended recently with good friends, I put up the posters to remind them of the good time we had, 10-4?

Round #2 of pics:

IMG_0760.JPG IMG_0761.JPG IMG_0762.JPG IMG_0764.JPG IMG_0765.JPG IMG_0766.JPG IMG_0767.JPG IMG_0769.JPG IMG_0770.JPG IMG_0773.JPG

That's former pro surfer Mikey J. in the third pic, he's sitting in a chair in my old room in the beach cottage back in Coronado... looks pretty wasted too, LOL. He had something like 29 pics published in the surf mags, including an incredible centerpiece shot with Mikey standing in this HUGE FREAKIN' BARREL, LOL. Good surfer, Mikey, but he went downhill after he became addicted to crack, go figure... for old time's sake, I used to let him visit at the house, but now we live in different states so no such visitation occurs. Hey, there I am atop that pony or donkey, whatever it is... reckon I was about 6 years old then, and the pic was taken in Greece, with my brother Pete standing on the deck. Other shots just show various decor items, plus a shot of Crackhead "break dancing" on the carpeted deck of my current home.

Round #3 of pics:

IMG_0774.JPG IMG_0777.JPG IMG_0833.JPG IMG_0835.JPG IMG_0837.JPG IMG_0838.JPG IMG_0839.JPG IMG_0840.JPG IMG_0841.JPG IMG_0842.JPG

Tiger likes the cool concrete slabs on the east & west sides of my home, these slabs are beneath the wide metal awnings. The pickpocket sign is on the outer door to the Pool Room, we can only hope the loose women materialize later, LOL. Honeybees have discovered my birdbath, they now hold parties on the rim, aye? It's funny, when I empty the bowl and refill it with fresh clean water, I'll have 100 bees buzzing around me in close proximity, but not one will sting me, LOL, probably for the same reason ghetto 'hood rats won't mess with USPS employees: "DON'T F#% WITH THE MAILMAN, HE'S BRINGING OUR WELFARE CHECKS!!!"

BTW, that wooden cheese knife is a permanent addition to the birdbath, it lets drowning honeybees climb out and dry themselves, 10-4? The steep sides of the bowl itself are too slippery when wet, so this cheese knife solves that problem... got no quarrel with honeybees, in fact I want them around to pollinate those fruit trees I planted, LOL.

Round #4 of pics:

IMG_0843.JPG IMG_0844.JPG IMG_0846.JPG IMG_0847.JPG IMG_0848.JPG IMG_0849.JPG IMG_0850.JPG IMG_0851.JPG IMG_0853.JPG IMG_0857.JPG

I included Charles Russell and Winslow Homer in the bathroom decor, that "Breezin' Up" pic has always been a favorite of mine. Besides, I want my guests to have quality artwork to look at while they're taking a break from billiards and unloading some o' that beer, LOL.
Got some glare in those first pics, but ya get the general idea...

Round #5 of pics:

IMG_0859.JPG IMG_0860.JPG IMG_0861.JPG IMG_0862.JPG IMG_0863.JPG IMG_0864.JPG IMG_0865.JPG IMG_0866.JPG IMG_0868.JPG IMG_0871.JPG

When's the last time ya saw a Vietnam War-era protest poster like the one in Pic #4? LOL, that one's a CLASSIC. I flew in that Stearman Sr. Speedmail biplane with Addison himself, shown in the photo. Look up his family on the web, they restore vintage aircraft and nobody does it better... Pemberton & Sons Aviation, they used to fly outta Gillespie Field in San Diego, but they moved up near Spokane, WA, to carry on their lives. They commute by plane and seaplane, which strikes me as a sensible way to live. Hey, check out the hallway leading to the carport, I placarded the world with that RADIOACTIVE number, LOL.

Round #6 of pics:

IMG_0970.JPG IMG_0971.JPG IMG_0973.JPG IMG_0974.JPG IMG_0975.JPG IMG_0976.JPG IMG_0978.JPG IMG_0979.JPG IMG_0980.JPG IMG_0981.JPG

Somehow, that third pic of Tiger reminds me of Richard Nixon, LOL. I put the dragon on the door to the closet with the gas furnace, what better place to put it? My brother Chris took that shot of the Pileated Woodpeckers, he lives over there by Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. I've seen Pileated Woodpeckers when visiting him in the past, those are impressive birds, they sound like machine guns in the distance, LOL. The Mystic Seaport art is something that has been in my family for decades, I always find room for it wherever I go... the Sunset poster belonged to me dear departed mum, it has some cool cover art on display.

Round #7 of pics:

IMG_0982.JPG IMG_0983.JPG IMG_0984.JPG IMG_0985.JPG IMG_0986.JPG IMG_0987.JPG IMG_0988.JPG IMG_0989.JPG IMG_0990.JPG IMG_0992.JPG

See what I mean about the cover art? That flying boat is awesome, just what I need to get from Benson, AZ, to San Diego, LOL... half the fun would be flying low over the desert, with folks looking up and asking, "WTF???" There's my politically-incorrect whaling art, I put it up over the garden tub in the master bathroom, LOL. The "Nantucket Sleigh Ride" number has always been on display in one bathroom or another throughout my life.

Round #8 of pics:

IMG_0993.JPG IMG_0995.JPG IMG_0996.JPG IMG_0997.JPG IMG_0999.JPG IMG_1000.JPG IMG_1001.JPG IMG_1002.JPG IMG_1003.JPG IMG_1004.JPG

All of these are pics culled from old calendars once they expired, I liked the pics well enough to save 'em and put 'em on my wall later, LOL. Meh, that's just the storage room anyway, what will eventually become a guest bedroom once the home rehab project is completed. Those sailing pics were taken by a famous photographer back in the day, I believe his name was Rosenfeld... nice shots, I love the older boats, and that last pic of the tacking duel is sweet, LOL. This is how an old diehard Laser sailor decorates his home, you understand... WTF, it's my home, so I'll put up whatever decor I want, AYE??? ;)

Round #9 of pics:

IMG_1005.JPG IMG_1006.JPG IMG_1007.JPG IMG_1008.JPG IMG_1009.JPG IMG_1010.JPG IMG_1011.JPG IMG_1012.JPG IMG_1013.JPG IMG_1014.JPG

That old schooner in the first pic is radical, if I ever win the lottery I'll buy one just like her... wouldn't want her if you weren't rich, otherwise you'd be a slave to varnish, LOL. With dough in your pocket, you could pay somebody ELSE to wield the brush, aye??? A whole army of brush-wielders, LOL... or would that be a navy aboard ship? More calendar pics with the wildlife, I like my animals... in the wild or on the grill, LOL.

10th and final round for the day:

IMG_1015.JPG IMG_1016.JPG IMG_1017.JPG IMG_1018.JPG IMG_1020.JPG IMG_1022.JPG IMG_1023.JPG
IMG_1025.JPG IMG_1026.JPG IMG_1027.JPG

No, my cats aren't SPOILED, LOL... usually there's a bowl of milk in the lineup, I must have fallen down on the job for these photos. Hey, that first pic shows the brass table that will eventually be cleaned up and hung as a GONG in my yard... it makes a wonderful splash when struck, kinda like I'm in some cheesy martial arts flick, LOL. That historical map is radical, I'll post pics of it later once it's up on the wall in my room. There are those honeybees again, having a fiesta in my birdbath... no worries, I like the bees, they treat me with respect, 10-4? You old school vertical skateboarders out there in cyberspace will like the classic wheeler shot, that's on one wall of the bathroom closest to the Pool Room. The tribute to Coach Greene is almost mandatory, more on him in a moment. Last three pics show feeding time at the zoo, the kitchen shot with the beer boxes was taken when my friend was over to party, LOL. Little Phoenix (farthest cat in photo) is losing her shyness at last, she'll come into the kitchen to eat now instead of macking under the couch.

Coach Greene was a mentor and role model for thousands of CHS students in years past, the dad I never had after my own dad split, aye? A real man's man, ol' Coach, he ran the football program, taught Auto Shop and Wood Shop, filled his home with furniture he made with his own hands, etc., etc. He taught me how to drive, back when Driver's Ed was still offered in school... taught my whole family, in fact, along with thousands of other students. The guy was strack, he had a wonderful wife and family, yet he found the time to instill positive values in so many others... he was rock f#%ng solid, you couldn't find a better citizen no matter where or how long you searched. I only took Wood Shop in the 9th Grade so I could bag hardwood and cut skateboard decks on the sly when Coach wasn't looking, right? I didn't have the love for woodworking that I have now, I only wanted the decks, so my (required) Shop projects were miserable abortions... I think Coach knew this, for one day he walked up to the bench where I was working, looked at the cheesy magazine rack I had slapped together in haste, smiled at me and asked, "WHATCHA MAKIN', B_______, FIREWOOD???" My reply: "Thanks for the support, Coach."

In another hilarious incident, I was standing near John Aldredge (or Aldridge, I can't remember how he spelled his name, might be Jon also) as he operated the band saw, we were jacking our jaws and Aldredge failed to adjust the saw properly. Next thing we knew, the blade broke and it was flailing everywhere in a dangerous manner... this sort of thing always got Coach's attention, he didn't like students breaking the shop equipment, right? He yelled like thunder: "B_______!!! ALDREDGE!!! GET IN THE LUMBER ROOM!!!" This was where corporal punishment was meted out, usually in the form of swats with a large wooden paddle handmade by Coach himself. Well, I took my swats and stumbled outta there, holding my backside and walking gingerly as if on hot coals, LOL. Behind me, Coach wound up and delivered a resounding smack to Aldredge, hit him so hard the paddle broke, which only p!ssed Coach off even more... he went and grabbed a backup paddle off the wall, then HAMMERED Aldredge for causing so much trouble. When Aldredge finally escaped, he had tears in his eyes, but I can positively state that he NEVER broke another band saw blade again, LOL. ;)

AH, YES, THE GOOD OL' DAYS... TOO BAD CORPORAL PUNISHMENT IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT, IT SURE WORKED AND TAUGHT DUMB@$$ STUDENTS TO STRAIGHTEN UP AND FLY RIGHT, LOL.

COACH & HIS WIFE HAVE BOTH PASSED AWAY, SAME AS MY FOLKS, BUT I HONOR COACH'S MEMORY BY PUTTING UP THESE TRIBUTES TO HIM IN MY OWN HOME. GOOD MAN, COACH GREENE, THE WORLD WAS A BETTER PLACE WITH HIM IN IT, THAT'S FOR SURE... BUT HIS CODE & IDEALS LIVE ON IN SO MANY PEOPLE. :)

I'M OFF TO GRAB A COLD BEER, Y'ALL HANG LOOSE... CHEERS!!!

Kittehs on the window sill, north side of my home:

IMG_1176.JPG IMG_1177.JPG

That's just one of the nine window sills I widened throughout my home, just so the kittehs would have places to sit or lie down and watch the world go by outside... those framed pictures below, they're just sitting on the carpet, haven't found places on the walls for 'em yet, LOL.

We've had nice weather here lately, a bit warm but still dry, and some primo colors at sunset:

IMG_1203.JPG IMG_1204.JPG IMG_1206.JPG IMG_1210.JPG IMG_1211.JPG IMG_1215.JPG
IMG_1216.JPG IMG_1218.JPG IMG_1219.JPG IMG_1220.JPG

Those are actually two different sunsets, as y'all can tell... Tiger & Phoenix have taken to sleeping atop the laundry machines, so I put some floor rugs and towels there while I finish the last tiny bit o' trim in the bathrooms. The kittehs also love the concrete slabs and walkway in the cooler morning & evening hours... I've been filling low spots in my yard and putting down pavers in a winding path around the deck, got tired of walking across sharp rocks and cactus spines in my moccasins, LOL. I don't weed-whack those clumps of grass either, the kittehs like to chew on that grass... they look like COWS when they do this, cows with longer tails than usual, aye?

Installed the third A/C unit in the wall of my master B/R yesterday, took me awhile because it was the first time I ever installed one by myself, but it turned out nice... just gotta finish framing the exterior today and paint the lot, that goes for both other units as well, the guy who installed those did a good job but he never finished the trim work. You'll see what I mean in these pics:

IMG_1245.JPG IMG_1246.JPG IMG_1247.JPG IMG_1248.JPG IMG_1254.JPG IMG_1255.JPG

First pair o' pics shows the finished framing or trim work on the unit near the Pool Room, this is how all units will look once the framing or trim work is completed. Middle pair o' pics show the unit I installed yesterday, trim work completed and the whole shebang caulked, ready for painting later today. Still gotta finish the exterior trim (2 vertical side pieces), but that's easy enough, even if the temp soars above 100 degrees as it did yesterday... WTF, it's a dry heat, and the full-length metal awnings on the east & west sides of my home provide plenty o' shade, just gotta be careful not to spill your beer on the ladder (don't ask me how I know this, LOL). Last pair o' pics show the middle unit in the guest B/R, it's nicely seated & braced but I still have to do the framing or trim work inside & out, it works with that ghetto duct tape job but I want it done right before the weather REALLY gets hot. Meh, at least all three units crank and my home is nice and cool inside... that's the main priority here, though I want the units to look good too, no permanent ghetto 'hood rat tape jobs allowed, they are VERBOTEN, LOL.

Here are some shots of one completed bathroom, I'm still putting some finishing touches on the other:

IMG_1249.JPG IMG_1251.JPG IMG_1252.JPG
IMG_1268.JPG

Didn't originally intend to have so many mirrors in the bathroom, but I found that oaken tri-panel cabinet at a thrift shop for $15, and it makes a great medicine chest, LOL. Not that I take any medicine, but I can put all my first aid stuff in there, plus a bunch of other odds & ends, aye? I masked that rectangular cabinet, vanity box, whatever ya call it over the sink, spray-painted it, then cut a cedar fence plank to serve as a shelf... doesn't look bad, and I can stash a few items there which I regularly use. Still gotta swap out the sinks in the bathrooms with white ones I bought awhile ago, got a deal on 'em down in Sierra Vista. Honestly, with this train wreck of a fixer, the only criterion I have when restoring stuff is: "Does it look better than it did before? SOLD!!!" ;)

Reminds me of the Colonel, I can hear him roaring now: "GODDAM!!! WE'RE NOT BUILDING THE TAJ MAHAL!!!" Good ol' Colonel, he was in the Corps of Engineers during WWII (always called it "The Corpse"), and he went on to build roads in Saudi Arabia as a civil engineer under contract. He once told us of a truck which was stopped at a nearby checkpoint, the guards had opened the wagon and they were giving the driver a hassle... thunder rolled down from the throne in the form of a phone call, and the guards hastily closed the wagon doors and sent the rig on its way. Truck was full o' booze, SUPPOSEDLY for diplomats visiting the Saudi palace, since all good Muslims don't drink, LOL... "Yeah, right."

ANYWAY, I GOTTA RUN, IT'S GONNA GET HOT HERE AGAIN TODAY, AND I WANNA GET THAT TRIM WORK DONE ON THOSE A/C UNITS... CHEERS!!!

P.S. Wall decor in that bathroom may seem cluttered to some folks, but that's the bathroom closest to the Pool Room, and I want guests to have stuff to look at while they're unloading some o' that beer between rounds of pool, LOL. Besides, I like having mementos of past adventures in sight as I brush my teeth, shave & whatnot, makes for happy memories, AYE??? Better than BAD memories, LOL.

"LONGNECK ICE-COLD BEER NEVER BROKE MY HEART!!!"

Dunno why that redneck tune is stuck in my head, I've been singing it since daybreak, LOL. I even found a video which proves that... er... dimensionally-challenged rednecks can STILL hit the BIG-TIME, 10-4?

I like the part where the football kicker misses the goal, I'm thinking he did NOT see any action after the game... too bad, those cheerleaders looked pretty good, the chump should've made the kick, LOL.

Since we're on the redneck theme, here are some pics I snapped in the WallyWorld parking lot yesterday:

IMG_1273.JPG IMG_1274.JPG IMG_1275.JPG

IMG_1276.JPG

Damn, gotta love the door on that lifted rig, it makes a full-on redneck statement, don'tcha know??? And that ol' bike would be PERFECT for riding to the Stronghold, I'll buy one just like it when I get back to work, WOOHOO!!! Of course, my bike will actually have grips, inflated front tire, and an operational motor, LOL. :D

Well, reckon I'll head back to the ol' hacienda and pull more home rehab, the problem with home rehab work is that it doesn't complete itself... and if ya ever figure out a way to make it do this, you'll be an overnight billionaire, no worries, LOL. Folks will call ya "The Home Rehab Baron"---meh, better than having 'em call you dirty names, or worse yet, late for dinner, "10-DASH-FO'???" ;)

CHEERS, YOUSE KNUCKLEHAIDS!!! ER... I MEAN YOUSE NAUTICAL HEE-ROES!!! LOL... KEEP ON SAILING!!! AND YOUSE ARMCHAIR EXPERTS, KEEP ON SAILING THEM THAR TALL-RIGGED LA-Z-BOY RECLINERS!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Honeybees partying on my birdbath this weekend, looks like Fiesta Time, LOL...

IMG_1295.JPG IMG_1296.JPG IMG_1297.JPG IMG_1298.JPG IMG_1299.JPG IMG_1300.JPG IMG_1301.JPG IMG_1302.JPG IMG_1303.JPG IMG_1294.JPG

Last shot shows Crackhead mackin' his crunchies... I had some minor woodworking projects laid out on the dining room table, just so I could mark where to drill instead of doing it out in the heat, and Crackhead had to jump up and distract me, probably thought he could get me to make a mistake in my measurements, LOL. ;)

GOTTA RUN, I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH A TRUCKING OUTFIT TODAY... MIGHT TURN OUT TO BE A DECENT LOCAL DRIVING GIG, RUNNING THE SCENIC AND UNCROWDED HIGHWAYS OF SOUTHEASTERN ARIZONA.

Drove a big ol' extended-hood Petercar yesterday... it felt good to be behind the wheel of a truck again, cruising that land yacht down a scenic and deserted highway during my "road test" (which involved a run to deliver grain from brewery mash to a dairy feedlot). The hood of the truck was ginormous, a skilled pilot could land aircraft on it, no worries, LOL. I'll probably wind up in a FreightShaker, hauling powdered limestone from a mine to some delivery point in Buckeye, not a bad gig given my location in Benson, by God, Arizona... and the rig will be parked near the J-6 Ranch, famous back in the day for hosting the Kennedy brothers when they were youths. That means I won't have to drive from Benson to Willcox every day in my own car, which isn't any great distance but enough to rack up a weekly fuel bill. :(

Here are some shots taken during my drive to Willcox yesterday, prior to climbing into the truck... these rocks and crags in Texas Canyon are LARGER than they appear in the photos, but the crags, domes & spires of the Stronghold are MUCH HIGHER, LOL. Still, there are some good crags and boulders in Texas Canyon, but most lie on private property, which means access issues... no fun getting blasted with rock salt (or double-aught buck) while pulling some high desert route or boulder problem, 10-4? Property owner might even break out the Mini-14 ranch rifle for sport, or raise the ante by breaking out the Weatherby .460 elephant rifle... CRACK!!! And there goes the dime-thin edge you were holding, along with four fingers & a thumb, LOL. Damn, I hate it when that happens!!!

IMG_1341.JPG IMG_1342.JPG IMG_1343.JPG
IMG_1344.JPG

Hey, in that last pic, you can see a truck in my side mirror... I must have just blown past it before taking the shot, LOL. Interstate highway speed limit in this area is 75 m.p.h., which suits me fine... the speed limits on lesser highways (like the one on which I drove the truck) are a bit lower, ranging from 55 to 65 m.p.h., not that I'll care when I'm getting paid by the hour.

Here are some pics of breakfast time in the kitchen this morning, with Crackhead lording it over the others by eating on the counter... we also have some shots of Phoenix & Tiger on the slab under the awning on the east side of our home, all the kittehs love the concrete slabs in the shade because they're much cooler than being under the blazing sun in the yard, LOL. :)

IMG_1330.JPG IMG_1331.JPG IMG_1336.JPG IMG_1337.JPG

That little Phoenix cat sure is a cutie, but she's still shy, though she's starting to come around & she's playing with the other kittehs in the yard. Same goes for our home, I can hear the stampeding paws of all three cats as they chase each other from one end of our home to the other, usually at 0400 or some other ungodly hour, LOL.

Last but not least, we have a shot of the raft-up in my birdbath this morning, these goldurned honeybees treat my birdbath as if it's their own private resort!!! While I was doing dishes in the kitchen sink this morning, I looked out to see an intrepid bee hop aboard one of those wooden cheese knives... the morning breeze and the windage on the bee itself caused the cheese knife to "sail" across the pond!!! I dried my hands and grabbed my camera to record this feat, but the pesky bee took off as I arrived at the birdbath... I'll have to keep the camera in a handier location, that way I won't waste time trying to grab it as such voyages are made, LOL. ;)

IMG_1339.JPG

Damn, you'd think it was Club Med or some such nonsense!!! Next thing ya know, those pesky bees will be raiding my fridge and drinking all my beer!!! The BLASTED VARMINTS!!! Anyway, y'all have a BEE-YOO-TI-FUL DAY!!! I'm off to call the CA DMV to order an MVR for this trucking outfit, ya already know those DMV wanks will be out to lunch (b@stards are ALWAYS out to lunch), but that means I can drink more beer while I'm on hold, listening to muzak... BONUS!!! :D

CHEERS, YOUSE NAUTICAL HEROES!!! I EXPECT THE GOLDURNED HONEYBEES TO HOLD REGATTAS IN MY BIRDBATH PRONTO... OR THEY'LL HOLD BEER CAN RACES (while drinking MY beer), THE VARMINTS!!!
