I dont do the 'wrap around the bow' bs. i find it a pain in the ass. instead, i use one piece with a shackle to the bow eye and a hook to a loop in the cb hole. i'll give you the dimensions tomro after i sail.
As for the outhaul:
I tryed it, and it has to be...
thanks for the input, its much appreciated. I dont know, I just expected more. My friends masts (on my team) each have straight sections, which are each 3 years old, and mines 1.
Thanks again, you people are good,
YOu can send it back to the makers, because if the allows ARE weak then they will give me a new one. but the catch is that you have to cut it in half. So youre like gambleing
Alright... heres the question: I bought a radial Bottom section new and i used it a max of 65 times. about 60-70% of the time its super light winds. The section is now bent, with about an 8-11 in. displacement.
This displacement is by lineing up the gooseneck and vang tang and looking...

Say i had an old wetsuit, and cut it at the waist, to wear on hot days, how could i seal the cut (seal as in you would burn the tip of a cut rope to keep it form fraying). or would just cutting it be fine.
I THINK that if the line is, in my terms, 'deadended' than it should be legal. what i mean is, have some slacked line between the two functions (outhaul-tie down) and that might make that possible. but than again, im PROBIBLY wrong. What is the tacticts in haveing an outhaul-tiedown line?
Do you all use 1/4" chord? Maybe i was doing it wrong, but mine was attached to the cleat and a hook on the loose end, i would just hook the clew f the sail. but i found that only tention that would pull the clew properly was far too tight and therefore made the outhaul difficoult to pull. Any...

Wasnt the link in lu's reply of a boat on ice rather than land? But on your note, i've always thought about designing one, a land yacht, but always quickly tossed it when the thought of scaps and nasty bleeding after deathrolling on pavement = S
I found this pole interesting. Because in every regagga i've been to this year (great lakes), the radials hav just about always crushed the lasers in numbers, there wasnt one regatta where there were more lasers than radials.
I was in my basement shaving down my hockey stick, when I found this stamp (see attachment) on the table. It looked like a laser, and I read about the stamp on the net and it is a laser. So I just thought some of you might be interested in it. Heres some information I found:
