tiller wear plate repair

Yesterday I was in the middle of a race and the traveler wear plate on my Laser brand carbon tiller fell off. Luckily I was able to grab it before it fell into the water- question is, what sort of glue should I use to put it back on? It's a carbon/SS interface...

Mines just held on with electrical tape. Even if you glue it, put this over the ends to stop it catching on anything and getting pulled off.
 
If you want to glue it, 5200 or epoxy - make sure the SS is roughed up on the bottom for the best possible grip
