I posted this picture on my Sunfish sailing blog a couple days ago - I found it via Twitter from the Shoreham Sailing Club.
curious if anyone here on the Sunfish Forum with all your collective small boat knowledge can get them all?

I think I've figured out 17 out of the 21, but am struggling with 14, 17, 18, and 21.

OK, it's this or work on my wife:s 1,000 piece Jigsaw puzzle:

1. Firefly (the Olympic single handed sloop used before the Finn. Paul Elvstrom sailed them to several gold medals.)
2. Fever (?)
3. Top Hat
4.
5.
6.
7. Fireball
8. Mirror Dinghy
9.Flying Fifteen (a great Uffa Fox planing keel boat design)
10.
11.Laser
12.Dart
13.Arrow (A two seater iceboat)
14.Wayfayer (Popular British cruising dinghy)
15.Scow
16.Hornet
17.K-1 (Canine -8 = K-1)
18.
19.Argo
20.
21.

I got a couple of the missing ones. Am I right on the others?

Alan,
I'll only comment on the ones you've guessed so far... leaving the blanks for others to keep guessing for now.
  1. Firefly - agreed
  2. Fever - I think this is maybe the RS Feva?
  3. Top Hat - agreed

  4. Fireball - agreed
  5. Mirror Dinghy - agreed
  6. Flying Fifteen - I had guessed an OzGoose... I like your guess better!
  7. Laser - agreed
  8. Dart - agreed
  9. Arrow - I thought this might be the RS Aero?
  10. Wayfayer - bingo, that seems right. A British fair/festival can be called a fete + herd - d.. I was thinking something feather? But Wayfarer makes perfect sense.
  11. Scow - agreed
  12. Hornet - agreed
  13. K-1 - great guess, that looks good to me!

  14. Argo - agreed

great work so far!

9. Flying Fifteen (wouldn't have guessed this one)
10.Byte
11. Laser
12: Dart
13. Aero (aeroplane minus the plane :D )
14. Wayfarer (this was too phonetic for me...)
15. Scow

19. Argo
20. D-One
21. International 14 (Intern. Four-tea-N :D )

Lali,
Wow, well done.

A few thoughts.
3. Topper is more likely than Tophat, good catch.
5. Phantom is probably the better choice. I was thinking Ghost (there is a Ghost 13, but not sure how popular it ever was)
18. The 200 makes sense - but I don't get the 2 pain clouds? Oh dear... is that supposed to be two "R's".... hence RS 200.
21. I get the 14, but how did you get to International?

cheers,
