Mainsheet block

I got a new mainsheet block for my Sunfish (moved the Harken 2135 over to our Minifish). It’s a 60mm (selectable) ratcheting block from Allen Sailing, with the “wave” sheave, supposed to have even better grip to help when holding the mainsheet. Hope to test it on the water soon.
Used zip ties to compress the standup spring to make it easier to install.

Zip ties are great, they must have a thousand uses...

When asked to name mankind's greatest accomplishments, some might say the pyramids, the Internet, space travel, etc...

Moi, I'd say, "Zip ties, duct tape, baling wire & WD-40!!!"

Can't live without 'em... and if ya do, life is infinitely more difficult.

I have at least three different sizes of zip ties in my "war room"---that's where all tools, hardware, and work-related objects are kept unless they're in the trunk of my car, where I have even MORE zip ties, LOL.

My ⅟₄-inch stainless steel zip ties—I've never used.
