The female Master laser sailor is a rare bird. She appears here and there, sometimes Wisconsin (Susie Pegel YAY!), sometimes New England (shout out to Lynn Shore!). Most of the time Master sailors of the feminine form can be counted on one hand. At least that's been my experience until - Voilá! I showed up at the venue for this year's Nationals and there they were; LADIES! And not just one or two - a flock of eight of us.

Only 2 1/2 more years to go and I'll be joining you lot as a masters sailor. Not that many female masters over here either (but then theres not many 25+, non olympic girls, over here to start with)

Am actually really looking forward to getting to do the masters circuit as it looks a lot more sociable then the UK qualifiers where everyone takes it all far too seriously.
