Destin launch spots?

I'm going to Destin for a week and bringing the sunfish. Can anyone recommend a good launching spot?

I used to visit Destin a lot in the past and I recall there was a little park just west of the bridge to Destin that had a nice launch ramp on the bay side. Kent Lewis, who posts here on the Forum regularly, lives in nearby Navarre, FL and will know for sure. Kent, chime in.

Alan is right about the ramp on the Bay side, West of Destin.

Juana's Pagoda and Salor's Grill in Navarre, FL also has great ramp, beach, restaurant, Catamaran rental, volleyball, paddleboards, umbrellas etc... about 45 min West from Destin. Sailing area is Santa Rosa sound. A LOT less populated with stinkpots and jetskiers. The beautiful Gulf beach is steps away on Santa Rosa Island. Try it out one day, we'll come out and take pictures.

Cookinwith gas sailed Destin a few weeks back, I'll ask him.

Starting in Covington, LA. I used to go to Navarre Beach when I was a kid; my best friend's family had one of the first raised cabins in the neighborhood. Great memories sailing a Dolphin Sr. and a Jetwind (long before my Sunfish days) in the Sound there.
