    Technique for penalty turns

    I tried this yesterday with low wind. And realy it is the fastest, drop tiller and turn with roll tacking and gybing. The roll gives enough power to turn fast and an extra when returning to normal course. Thank you.

    Hi, what about penalty turns. Single turn (360) normally goes well, but with double turn (720) i always get stuck (and sometimnes swim) after the second tack. What to do in each condition (wind, waves), body movement, applies rule 42 ?

    Refurbish boom

    I have never used a top indicator, but i get told you stick the long bar between tube and sail, thats it ! Don't know what will happen on capsizing. Maybe some duck tape to secure. HTH

    Simple method to weigh a laser?

    As far as i know you need only one domestic balance: put bow on the ground and soport stern with the balance, then put stern onthe ground and soport bow with the balance, add the two weights.
