They fall of a little too easily, I even tried to apply some 5200 but that still didn't hold it on. What I do now is when I pop the boat of the gudgeon I take the caps off and put them in my blade bag so the don't get lost
I know this may be in the wrong section but is there anyone in the Annapolis area that could go look at a boat for me? I know that this is alot to ask, but I'm going to be buying this boat sight unseen and want to make sure that it isn't a complete junker. If anyone is in the area let me know! I...
Does anyone know what size bolt to use for the Blue centerboard stop? I have seen it on the new boats, and was told you could modify the old one by drilling it out. I just need to know the diameter and length of the bolt. Thank for the help!
My girlfriend has one. I tried sailing with it and it sucks. Yeah, it doesn't flex, but the traveler is just as bad to get over as the stock aluminum. IMO I would stick with the acme or rooster
Cleats=NO. Alls they do is drill into my you know what, and I barely ever use them. If you don't have them don't add them. I prefer the auto ratchet because it is one less thing you have to worry about when you are out sailing.
The traveler is recommended to be 11' with a 5mm thickness. I usually use amsteel. The blocks are often sold at apsltd.com. They have almost any part that you will ever need for your boat. For the auto bailer do you even have the bottom plastic assembly?
I often use mine to hold my cunningham/outhaul control lines out of my main sheet block, and to have them right at my side on which ever tack I'm on. I don't see how they could be used for extra purchase?
They are still the same, I just put the hardware on my new '08 this past year. I put a ton of 5200 on the threads and in the holes, along with some on the base. I have yet to have a problem with them, and the best part is no water!
I'm doing it in a radial, along with three or four others from Bayview alone. I know that their is going to be a couple others locally. Should be a great Regatta!
They are a pain, but the springs are not legal. I believe the correct o-rings for the boat are #10 but i'm not 100% sure. You can get the whole set-up here, but unless you really need it I wouldn't advise it. http://www.optiparts.com/products/WDlaser.asp

Is the foot of the radial sail the same as the foot of a full sail... According to Intensity's Website they are for the practice sails, but I just want to make sure that my new outhaul rigging will work on both sails..
I have the Acme, flat carbon tiller, and love it for the price at intensity sails: http://www.intensitysails.com/acbldi41cati.html... My extension is made by JCD, it was a bit pricey, but worth it as it has the awesome grip, and the swivel universal that can spin 180 degrees...
When I repaired mine before I got my '08 boat I used a piece of a rivet gun that gets shot out, looks like a needle. i drill a hole in the end of the board, and insert the rod. I then marine tex around it, and sand it down. The rod gives it extra strength.
