Traveler line/block

I just got my hands on a laser with a few issues so I would appreciate any input on them...


1) How long should the traveler line be? and is 6mm okay?

Also, where can I get the right traveler block since west marine doesn't sell laser stuff.

2) I think there is a problem with the autobailer. How is it supposed to work? Is there any way I can fix it?

Right now, when the plug is closed it just fills up. When you open it, it drains out of the bottom of the boat.

The traveler is recommended to be 11' with a 5mm thickness. I usually use amsteel. The blocks are often sold at apsltd.com. They have almost any part that you will ever need for your boat. For the auto bailer do you even have the bottom plastic assembly?
