I don't think a 1/2 inch or larger sheet will work in the boom blocks. I think something thinner is required.Whatever you like
Does anyone have a recommendation for a specific brand or type of line?
I’m thinking of switching my current one out for a longer sheet, maybe 30-32’.
Current one is 25’ and doesn’t let the boom out as far as I’d like.
Not necessarily. If the block size doesn't increase as well, thicker line increases friction, which in turn increases the load in your sheet hand. It's the same the other way: I was able to quit using gloves when I changed my Laser sheet from 8 to 6 mm. This is especially relevant in the Sunfish, as the sheet blocks are those tiny Racelite things.Thicker lines are easier on the hands.
They recommend 9/32" diameter x 32-ft long FSE Robline Dinghy Sheet
