I suppose inland it dont get as cold,

Can be freezing on the south coast . . . . .

i used to sail out of hartlepool North east coast that got bitter cold.

i also used to live a boat (40ft bruce roberts spray) in the marina and the wind never stop howling in winter and when it was raininng like tennis balls non stop for a fortnight that got really depressing.

i don't know of anything worse, when you can not get off the boat and your stuck there with 4 other people it gets a bit tense.

anyway shouldn't we be talking about hikinbg pants as the convo topic has changed a bit.

Roll on summer.

Hi Paul + Co,
here is some input from other for you: I know from German racing Laserites, they wear often Queenssport hinkingpants (see pic´s): “Hikers” (about 130 Euros) or “Rob Scheidt´s Hikers-lite” (about 150 Euro) or with ¾ legs: Waverider (about 140 Euro) / “Waverider-lite” (about 160 Euros).

Hikers-lite:

Waverider:

I wear (when it is about 22 to 30 air-degree Celsius) since this summer the “Pro Range”-Wetsuit (in colour black, not orange like on the pic´s of course) from “High Performance NZL” (www.hikingpantsnz.com ->gotto link “pro range page” at the homepage for more information). It´s heavy and strong, has hiking battens at the legs and will hold until I become a cruising-GGM-Laserite, I think - but I got it only for 99 Euro in GER… :)
