What sail is better?

I had heard a rumour that Hyde are no longer making Laser sails. So as others have said whichever you can get hold of!

This MAY be down to the new sail design and manufacturers not wanting to have a stock liability or it may be down to other reasons!

"Other reasons" - are we talking about the trademark hostage situation?

Is there some reason why Kirby, Zim and Intensity don't all strike a deal? Intensity has proven you don't need no stinking trademark on a sail to sell it. Same probably goes for the boat. Just be sure it's the original Laser (Kirby) design and then dump the name, certify the builders of choice and move on down the road.

As for which sail ... Intensity for practice. According to Mr. P., use what the top 10 in your group are using. For him, he has been exclusively Hyde but lately some of the top 10 in his group have been switching to North. He hasn't made the switch yet.

Individuals can purchase equipment and sails from international suppliers, but not official dealerships. There are definitely supply issues at present, so if your local dealer can't help you and you really need that part or sail, as a last resort contact the guys in Oz (Performance Sailcraft Australia, PSA).
