I tried placing a vent hole in the aft of the boat for my second vent and hit foam twice. I used the diagram posted here in sunfish knowledge to locate the hole. Any ideas. Thanks Craig
I had the same issue. I just carved out some of the foam and was able to get access to the hull interior. In my hull, the builder was overly generous with the expanding foam so I had to do quite a bit of digging out. This didn't do any damage to the hull at all.
Vent hole, you mean like inspection port size? What you might be running into is the expanding foam that they used to hold the foam blocks in place, or both. It will not hurt to cut some of that away and the port will help maintain the deck structure at that point.
