My 1981 Sunfish does not sound like it has water inside yet I still want to be able to open the top side drain plug - it has a flat head screw fitting. The plug is frozen shut. I tried WD40 and tapping the top of the screw driver placed on the screw to loosen it. Tried vice grips on the screwdriver while holding extreme pressure downward. Cannot loosen it. Looking for recommendations. Maybe made a new hole (yipes) for a different drain plug. Or, cut out the plug and re-glass the spot, then drill to install a new plug - very challenging.
