Super Sunfish mast cap (bottom)

There is little information available about the Super Sunfish and since I am restoring one, I hope to help other Super owners maintain or restore their vessels. Recently, I ordered a 3D printed mast cap for my super, but the only ones available were for regular sunfish. all forums said sunfish masts were the same, but this is not true! the inside diameter of the super bottom mast section is thicker (perhaps also the top section). This thickness is required because the mast is twice as tall as a normal sunfish mast. The people at West Coast Sailing helped me sort this out and custom 3D printed a mast cap end for me! In case you are wondering, the inside diameter, per my caliper, is 51 mm (about 1.5 mm thicker than the regular sunfish mast).
