Sunfish Pintle Pin Orientation

Which way should the pintle pin on the Sunfish rudder be installed? Push down from the top to release the rudder. or push up from the bottom? Or does it matter? I see it shown both ways

Hi Bill, here is a pic from the manual that was just posted in another thread. I am new to rigging these too so I am also interested.

We like push down, easier with the thumb from the top than trying to pull up with fingers down close to the water. but you'll see them either way.
