First post, hope I don't get "Blasted" for my questions....
I bought a used Sunfish (not sure of yr model). If I had to guess, it's a late '60's, early '70's..... it was complete, except for the center board (sail, and all is present)... But, the reason I got the boat - was to convert to a lay out boat for duck hunting.
With that, I need to cut open the cockpit area, and make leg room toward the front of the boat...
1) Can anyone advise what's inside the hull toward the front? (floatation, bracing, etc.)?
2) have any of you took one apart, to see that's inside??
My younger brother is an auto body/paint man, and will be doing the fiberglass/paint for me.... but I'll be "opening" it up, and was trying to decide where "best" to cut.
Any advice is appreciated....
