Soft Spots?

How do you tell if a Laser has a soft spot? I know they make your boat slower but I don't know how to see if there are any and how can it be fixed, if it can be fixed?

Just push on different parts off the hull and deck... If you are able to push and have the fiberglass move in then that's a softspot. I am not sure about fixing soft spots on the hull (I'm pretty sure you can't. But I may be wrong) but on the deck you def can. But remember if you try to reinforce the deck, you lose your boats legality in big laser events.
