Stephen, why don't you advertise on the forum ?

Have your springs actually been ruled legal by an ILCA measurer or is it just your interpretation on the ebay listing that they are legal ?

I am advised by a US correspondant who had worked with Vanguard that rule 26 is used to cover repairs which are different from the original. I cannot see how individual rulings can be made on, for example, replacing a pop rivet with a bolt and nut. I use a S-hook to attach the outhaul gooseneck pulley by hooking it into the tooling hole in the gooseneck; that's not as XD kits are sold, they use a bit of rope. So is my method illegal? It's heavier but much simpler to change from one rig to another.

Where does common sense come into this?

There is no on-the-water advantage in my bailer springs, they just last.
