I just use clear silicone on the screw threads and took them out one at a time, added silicone, put them back in.
Screw threads? Aren’t they rivets?I just use clear silicone on the screw threads and took them out one at a time, added silicone, put them back in.
Depends on when the boat was built.Am I wrong? Lol
Early Alcort boats had screws, AMF changed over to rivets at one point. I wouldn't be concerned about the rivet air leak. But for the bailer, you should check the seam between the cockpit and hull for air leaks.
We mostly use the epoxy syringes that were sold at West Marine, made by West System. We like them because they are small and have small pointy ends. They are sold through several vendors, Amazon among others: Amazon.com : SYRINGES, 12 Pack, for epoxy and glues by WEST SYSTEM : Sports & Outdoors
Epoxy syringes can be bought at Joann Fabric and Hobby stores.
