I'm relatively new to the Laser, and typically sail against several youth at my local club. They're no slouches, and I am trying to guage how I am doing (I sail a full rig - they sail radials)
Here is my question; How does a heavier sailor (in full rig) compare to a lighter sailor (in radial) in various wind conditions. Specifically,
200 lb (me) vs. 145 lb (them) in 10kts, 15kts, 20kts.
And I mean in general terms, I understand upwind vs. downwind differences and tactical stuff (playing shifts,etc...). I'm more concerned with two boat, side by side speed training. Namely, where is the wind speed point where the two are equal, with only weight and rig size being the differences.
