Rigging blocks on XD Outhaul/Inhaul

Hi all,

I am very confused about how to rig the XD outhaul/inhaul. In particular, how are the two blocks at the mast secured?

The knots that lock the blocks in the line are not needed. Just pass the line around the mast above and below the gooseneck. Tie the line with a tight square knot, that's enough.

Thank you for the clarification. I had seen that photo, and I was not sure what the heck they were trying to do with all the knots and bungee cord.
