The top corner of my daggerboard (just above the hole for the retaining line) has for some reason broken off. I still have the broken bit (its only about 1 ins square). What is the best way to refix it. Also i have some small knocks on my gunwhale lip where the gelcoat is missing. Can someone give me a complete idiots guide to repair them

I Drilled A Hole Into The Broken Edge Of The Daggerboard And Into The Broken Piece And Used A Bit Of An Aluminium Rivet Stem To Hold It Laterally Like A Cocktail Stick. Then I Only Had To Put Some Glue On To The Two Surfaces Where They Touched And Into The Holes And Push The Two Pieces Together With The Rivet Piece Fully Embedded In To The Two Holes. It Is Now Stronger There Than It Was. If You Do Not Stabilise The Break With The Bit Of Metal It Tends To Break Again At The Same Place Not Matter What Glue U Use. Fill In Any Gaps With Gelcoat. Qed.
