Red sail numbers

I have bought a sail for my laser. My sail number is 52258. I was sent four red numbers (two 5s an two 2s) for the first two numbers. Is this correct for an old number like mine, or is it that the last four numbers should always be black? 52258 or 52258?

Last four numbers should be black.

The last 4 numbers should be a contrasting colour to any preceeding number. Thus 1234, 56789, 123456 are correct. But the colour combination is essentially your call, but the latter numbers should be dark or black and the preceeding colour should be distinctive from it.

You should not use 1234, 56789, 123456

because your boat's number is 52258
