 There is a trailer for sale that was used to transport a 12' jet ski.the winch post can be relocated to lengthen the trailer capacity. the bunks seem pretty long. would there be any harm transporting a sunfish on that type of trailer?

I've seen PWC trailers as the basis for several fine SF trailers but the major issue is that these trailers are "sprung" for heavy loads - probably 1200 lbs - so that a little ol' Sunfish would be subject to some pretty harsh & bouncy conditions. It is possible to remove some of the leaves from the leaf springs on some of these PWC trailers resulting in a softer ride. Other partial solutions are to lower air pressure in the tires a bit or to increase the surface contact area of the bunks and make them softer. Also a good idea to have the SF ride upside down on the trailer rather than on the hull. Where there's a will, there's a way.:D
