Conventional wisdom is waxing/polishing a hull isn't necessarily fast. Something about interrupting laminar flow of the water. Most rock star wet sand their hulls. However since you have an older boat and probably want to spruce up its appearance, the Starbrite PTEF sounds like good stuff. I'm going to get some for my boat.
By the way, I thought T*fl*n was one of those words we weren't supposed to use or risk getting sued for trademark infringement.
I just finished sailing the Nationals and met a hydrodynamicist. We discussed this issue during a postponement. He says there's no difference between wet sanded and aforementioned products. Hence, I prefer the shiny boat.
