hi, my boat has a few scratches and marks as you would expect from an older boat. id like to give it a bit of attention, but without being too fussy. what are my options?
fill the scratches, sand it and leave it, or give it a coat of paint, give it a coat of gelcoat ect?

cheers

My 2 cents,

Clean your boat up, Polish and wax it then see where your at. For deep scratches, repair only that area with gell coat and wet and dry with the lightest grade of paper known to man. Remember that any hull repair adds weight and de values you boat, so try to keep it small. Also if you change your hull from its original condition to much and like to race alot, it may make it an illegal hull to race.

Hope it works out for you.

thanks, i have no intention to race. purely for fun. i think its had a coat of paint already so when i get a good look ill fill the deeper scratches and i might give the whole thing a sand down. im not too worried about what it looks like and i dont want to keep adding paint if its had some already.
