Overhead Storage

B-L Bandit

Leeward Bound and Down
Does anyone know or heard of a overhead storage system that can be used for a sunfish or laser in a garage? Thank You

Something like this may work: lift sling
All you would need to do is install a piece of Unistrut in your overhead to secure it. Attach a pulley and wench and you would set.
That said, I don't know how it would affect the hull over time.

Take a trip to harbor freight and tools - two sets of blocks with rope at about $15 each, to get it in the air. then two 8 foot lifting straps (or 4 - 6 footers inter locked into two units) to hold it up. My garage has open beams, so i laid a loose 2X4 across them, and slid the loops of the lifting staps on the ends. That way, over the winter, the boat, supported by the slings, transfers the load across multiple joists via the 2x4. Takes two people to raise/lower OR a place to tie one rope off while working the other. I used ratchet type tie down straps with coated hooks at the gunnel to bridge the boat and attach to the block's lifting point.
