New idea for mainsheet!

So nowadays people look for the lightest, non-water absorbing, and un-kinkable mainsheets. I am racing V15's at the time, and I noticed how they had a split mainsheet. Would it ever work to have a thinner diameter line for the end of the mainsheet? Like amsteel 12? It would be short enough that you didnt have to hold it while you were two blocked. It sounds possible, and like a cool idea! If anyone knows how to splice line to line please contact me at [email protected], and ofcourse give me your comments on this idea!

Read rule 3 b ii "Control lines (which includes the mainsheet) shall be of uniform thickness and shall not be tapered"

Ok... well that can always stop you! But what about making it and using it during a practice?

It would be better to just practice with what you intend to race with.
