It’s not too soon to start planning your trip to Florida to enjoy seven days of sailing between February 9 and February 17, 2008. For many of us, it is a special opportunity to shine as some of our very top guns will be off in Australia at the 2008 Worlds. That will not detract from the good racing to be had by all. As an added incentive, we plan to have a lot of goodies to raffle off Saturday evening of the final event. To be eligible, you must sail in all three events. Also, we may have a special award for the overall winner – whoever has the least points after masters handicap points are factored in for all three events. There is also a possibility of a golf outing on one of the lay days for any of us that enjoy hacking around the course. Some housing may be available at certain venues.
Here’s the line-up:
Sail the Gulf Stream at the Florida Masters – Feb 9&10 – Palm Beach Sailing Club
Drive north about an hour for Midweek Madness – Feb 12&13 – USSCMC, Jensen Beach
Drive north about 90 minutes for Masters Midwinters East – Feb 15 – 17 – Melbourne YC
Both these events will be held on great sailing areas in the Indian River Lagoon, one of nature’s neatest paradises.
Charters will be available for all three events at a discounted rate. However, we will need to have a minimum number of charters to take advantage of the deal.
