I installed my mast disk several years ago using 5200. Recently, the 5200 decided it no longer liked the disk - I know this because I found the disk in my top cover!
Obviously, I need to reinstall it. The question is, do I use 5200 Fast Cure this time or silicon sealer? I will sand the bottom of the mast tube (lightly), and wipe it out with acetone. I also roughed up one side of the disk with 80 grit, to allow the 5200 to have a better bite. (However, the disk came out of the boat completely clean!)
Suggestions?
