FWIW, I think the stuff is great. I use if for the tails of both my cunningham and outhaul. Runs through small blocks (Harken Micro and 16mm) great, cleats solidly, and it feels great in your hand. I can't wait to replace the stiff line in the 5:1 part of my Harken vang with Swiftcord.

Exactly my thought. It would be interesting to see how the Layline riggers splice it. In my experience they're some of the best, so whatever they do is probably not within the capabilities of an average Laser sailor...Chris123 said:Fiddling with the line now that I've actually seen it in person, I can't imagine it would eye-splice -- It looks like the fiber is quite bulky (maybe that's why it's so soft and nice in the hand) and there isn't a lot of room inside into which you could tuck the tail.
