I have just acquired a Laser from a friend. What is the best way for my grandsons and sons-in-law to learn to rig and sail it? Are there videos/books that would be useful?
Dick Tillman's 'The complete book of Laser Sailing' is good (£12.99), if a little too detailed (it deals with things that you might not be interested in, like how Lasers are built), and takes you from laser rigging through to repairs and advanced racing techniques. If you're looking to race it, try Ben Ainslie's 'Laser Campaign Manual', which deals only with racing, but comes with a very good CD, clear instructions and detailed pictures. I'm sure their are more out there, but those are my favourites.
