The old old old Sunfish came with an "eyebolt and pulley" (Sunfish Bible, p. 29) atop the mast. Is that system still legal? And if so, could the pulley be added to the jens rig to allow freer line movement? If a pulley is not allowed, how about a thimble on the jens rig? Anything to keep the lines from chaffing and binding?

You can't add a block to the new style mast, but if you have an old mast that has the block you can use it. In any event, the most current and easiest way of rigging a jens doesn't have any chafing or binding problem so a block would not help in any way.BB
