If you aren't offended by drinking and drugs I would recommend it. In the mid 70's he sails from Miami to Boston in a Sunfish. Does anyone know if he is still alive? I tried Google with no luck.

A few years ago, I tried to find this book but and (if I remember correctly) I either couldn't find it or it cost a lot of money. I also tried to find a copy of a book about a guy in Ohio that outfitted a very small sailboat and sailed it to the UK. It is also quite rare, possibly out of print. My Dad had that one at our family home in northern Wisconsin and I had to leave before I finished it. The next few summers, I couldn't find it.

It was retitled "As Wild As The Wind". Same content. James Lee Meadows is the author.
