how do i repair my laser's deck

i bot a laser sailboat to work on, and when i first bot it i didn't relise that the area u sit on has kind of sof ( on both sides ) and the foot area was kind of soft too, i am repainting it, it has been sanded down, how can i get the area on the deck to be hard and not soft any more, please email me at [email protected]
 
more than likely the foam separated from the glass back in these areas. you would need to cut it out but not so deep you went all the way through you want to leave the inner skin to rebuild deck/cockpit floor on. once cleaned out of all wet foam rebuild with foam or we used balsa and then glass back over, two layers. grind sand reapply non skid and paint. simple right?
 
yea... this is not a fun repair. I had to do it several years ago on my first race boat. It was kinda miserable... but it got me racing cheap.
