Hiking Strap Placement

I bought a 14.2 with all the hardware in a box.
Im not understanding where the hiking straps hook too ? They seem short. Thanks

Hi I’m new to the Capri 14.2 also but what I think I see in your photos is that the single strap goes from Barney post to transom bracket (there’s a good pic on the UCLA .org website) and the other 2 that are same length go from triangular bars on Barney post forward to bulkhead. Those 2 attach to the long “eyelet” brackets mounted on bulkhead. What keeps them from passing through is a small dowel in the hem of the strap. Hope this is clear for you - and accurate- Kamper

Here are 2 photos I took of mine (without straps cause mine were trash) one is a pic looking underneath Barney post where single strap is bolted then goes aft to transom bracket. Second is where the eyelet brackets are screwed to bulkhead. Strap passes under bracket and is kept from coming through

by dowel.
