Assuming you already know it's not class legal, you'll need to come up with a method to attach to the boom.

IIRC, this came out around the same time as the slightly different setup that was approved for the Laser. Me thinks a deal was worked out between Harken and Laser so that Harken would not sell the class approved version directly to sailors (ie, discounted), so they changed the design slightly and came up with what you are looking at.
 
There is a bigger difference with the Pro vang. This model has 3 pulling on 5, and the Pro has 5 pulling on 3.

The 15:1 net result may seem the same, but this model requires a lot longer travel for the "floating" block pulling the primary. In fact, it won't go thru enough range for a Laser's bendy rig, 3/5's as much, to be exact. Most people think the Pro barely has enough range.

Besides the fact that it's not "legal"...
