Greetings! (aka, what have I done?)

Greetings from the mountain west - where relatively few Sunfish are seen!

This is my first post here, so forgive my ignorance, which I am sure will show...

About 30 years ago, a couple of Jr. high school teachers thought it would be fun to teach a bunch of us kids to sail. They had at their disposal a couple of Sunfish sailboats, which several of us gleefully capsized from time to time - and eventually, we managed to pilot the little boats about without getting too wet.

Then I moved inland...

Anyway, I was passing a yard sale the other day and I noticed a somwhat familiar shape laying in the grass - a very old looking Sunfish hull. So I could not resist investigating. A few minutes later, I left there with this old, worn and faded Sunfish that I payed almost nothing for (probably worth just that - or worse. I remember something about TANSTAAFB) and some fantasy about maybe getting this thing in the water without too much investment and getting wet all over again.

Somewhere, in the back of my mind, I have this nagging feeling that this is just going to be the path that leads me down to actually buying a useable Sunfish, but based on the info I've seen here and other places so far - I just might be able to float this thing.

I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions, so I'll thank you all in advance for the future advice and for what I've already read here.

So, for starters, I need to know where to look for a glossary of nautical terms (especially as relates to the Sunfish), and maybe some opinions on whether or not I am completely nuts?
