Hello,
I kept my 1984 Carpi 14.2 in the water at my family dock. Instead of bottom paint every year, I'm looking to build some kind of floating dock or ramp to pull the boat completely out of the water. We currently have a fixed dock on pilings and have a tide range of about 2.5 feet. I'm thinking about hinging 2X6's to the fixed dock and attaching the other end to a float that will keep the 2X6 at or just above water level. Then winch the boat up and out of the water. I would use the ramp only for storage, loading and unloading coolers/gear can be done at the dock.
I've seen the floating JetSki ramps- they would work but I'm cheap and don't want to spend $1000 on this project.
Who's got a solution or ideas?
Thanks,
Steve
