First race today

Second day on the water with my new Fish and came in last all three races.
But just behind...better than I expected. What a great time. I am certainly hooked on this. Sun Fish is different sailing than my other boats with head sails and ballast. By third race I was very comfortable with feeling the stability etc. It is going to be a fun boat for sure.
Cant wait till tomorrow for more sailing.

While is certinly isn't as stable as keel boat it is near the top of the list for single handers. That's why folks from 8 to 80+ can sail one and not take a bath.
We had Fish, Lasers, Finns, Europes, small scows, you name it, sailing in our variety fleet and it was the fish that had the best rate of not seeing dagger boards up in the air of any of the others...LOL
In fact we had a good sized fleet of Flying Scots that have an extremely heavy centerboard and also a good reputation as a stable boat (we called them retirements as older folks tended to gravitate to them) and the Fish would stay upright in conditions that had the FS's either over on the side or plowing and filling up in following seas.
