Fatso Jr install

I just purchased a fatso jr tiller extension. I was wondering what's the best way to attach it to the tiller? Also... do I buy another wood tiller, use that one for the fatso extension and keep the original 2 piece wood tlller for back up (just in case the fatso swivel breaks) or don't worry about having replacement parts.

You just need to drill a couple of small pilot holes and use screws. You don’t need bolts. It’s not a bad idea to wrap a couple of turns of tape over the ends of the cap to ensure it doesn’t come off while sailing. Many people cut the length to 41”-42”. I haven't heard of a problem with the swivels breaking, although anything is possible.
