Drain wont Open - Inspection Port

My drain on my hull seems to be as stuck as my bailer. I was planning on installing an inspection port at the end of the season. Would this be a huge problem or should be okay? The boat is not heavy so I am guessing I do not have any leaks. But wont the port so can install Hiking strap and be able to do any repairs if possible.

As long as you're putting in the port you should be ok. You can sponge any excess water out through that. If you really want the drain, try penetrating oil first. Leave it on for a bit then try to unscrew it. A SLIGHT tap may free it up also. If that fails, you can always replace it.
