Charleston, SC sailing questions

I will be in Charleston the week of July 8, and am planning on bringing my Laser. A couple of questions:

Are there any beer can races that week?

Any recommendations for a public ramp conducive to Laser launching?

Looks like you're inconveniently vacationing between several local open regattas. Best bet for beer can races would probably be James Island Yacht Club. I would e-mail the Rob Bowden, [email protected] , and see if he can get you in contact with someone at the club. Don't know of any public launches, but please post up if you find any.
