Carbon Tiller

Hello,
I have recently bought an Black Diamond tiller as I wore throught the old alloy one, how do I rig the rope to hold the tiller balde down as the carbon tiller has a jam cleat onto and no hole to put the retaining pin in, I know some don't use the pin but on Monady I went sailing and the tiller feels loose, maybe I am not use to it, anyone got any photo's of there setup
