Bushing assembly too large?

Hello,

I'm trying to insert a brass bushing assembly into the cockpit drain on my laser, but it is too large for the hole. Would it be recommended that I drill the hole a bit larger for it to fit or is there something I might foul up by doing this?

There are no other bushings still in place, correct (ie, the plastic bushing is not there) ?

If it's just the cockpit and hull, yes, you should make the hole bigger to fit the bushing - A dremmel with the small sanding drum, round file, or drill bit will all work

It should fit, before you ream it out make sure that the hole is clear and its not just debris holding you up
