Boots

I've thrown out my Gull Evolution hiker boots as they have split between the upper and sole, because they are quite rigid and I hike with pointed toes they had to bend. I have been considering either the Zhik high cut race boot or the rooster hiking slippers. I have heard that the Zhik's break really quick, is this true? Also do you think they wuld be better for hiking in than the Rooster's?
Thanks,

Personally I would recommend Aigle Maramu's, they grip really well on pretty much any hiking strap and the bottom is more like a shoe, they also have more support over the ones that zip/Velcro which helps when you're hiked out hard, I'm really happy with them
