Boom webbing strap and class rules

Could some ILCA rules expert tell me whether it is class legal to make your own boom strap, the one that replaces the manucturer supplied metal eye lacing and keeps the main sheet dangling down. Thanks.
 
Yes it is! See rule 18.2 on page 33 (7/17 on the PDF version) of the class rules. There is a highly detailed diagram on the same page.

Thanks a ton Lali for saving me the time to comb throught the class rules. I wasn't aware that there actually was a specific rule. Apparently I instinctively got it right since I used the existing rivet holes und cut a pieth of cloth to 'just' do the job (i.e. no wider than 2,6 cm).
